On May 23-25, Artsfest will be virtual for the first time due to the concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. The festival plans to return to Riverfront Park over Memorial Day Weekend in 2021.
The festival features more than 250 juried artisans and craftsmen with hand-crafted works in sixteen different categories, live entertainment, children’s activities, food trucks and more.
The 52nd annual Artsfest will be going virtual for the first time ever on May 23-25, 2020. This decision was made to ensure the safety of the community, vendors and visitors during the evolving COVID-19 pandemic. While we will miss gathering along the banks of the Susquehanna River this year, we are excited to continue support of the artisans and the arts through an online experience. Additional details will be provided soon, but please follow the Facebook event if you are interested in participating.
Artsfest is an annual festival held over Memorial Day Weekend that typically draws thousands of attendees to Riverfront Park for a celebration of the arts. It features 250 juried artists and craftsmen from across the United States and Canada, that offer handcrafted wares in sixteen categories: ceramics, digital, drawing, fiver (decorative and wearable), furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and wood. The festival also features live entertainment, children’s activities, food trucks and more.
The City of Harrisburg relies on community partners to produce Artsfest. This event attracts an estimated 40,000 guests and will offer exposure to a diverse crowd of local residents and regional visitors alike.
