CAPITAL REGION WATER ANNOUNCES PUBLIC HEARINGS ON PROPOSED CLARKS VALLEY PROPERTY SALE

HARRISBURG (January 5, 2015): Capital Region Water will be holding two public hearings to present information on the proposed Clarks Valley Property Sale and to hear public comments.

The first hearing, which will also be Capital Region Water’s January Board meeting, will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 6PM at the Heinz-Menaker Senior Center located at 1824 North 4th Street. The presentation will begin at 6PM followed by time for questions and public comments.

The second hearing will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 6PM at the Dauphin County Agriculture and Natural Resources Center located at 1451 Peters Mountain Road, Dauphin, PA 17018.

“This is a significant decision that we are not taking lightly”, said CEO Shannon Williams. “We look forward to hearing input from our customers.”

Capital Region Water’s Board of Directors voted 2-1 at their Dec. 17 meeting to move forward toward a possible sale of 384 acres of property in Clarks Creek. More information and multiple options to make comments can be found at www.capitalregionwater.com. Public comments will be collected until Feb. 18.
