Aug. 22, 2018 Harrisburg, PA – The City of Harrisburg has installed two warning signs for the Dock Street Dam on the East Shore of the Susquehanna River along the lower river walk area.
The signs are located about 200 feet upriver from the dam and about 100 feet downriver from the dam. The signs are intended to alert boaters to the dam’s dangers.
The city also has posted signs on the walking path leading down from the parking area under the I-83 bridge. The City will install two additional signs on the West Shore of the river once the waters recede enough to permit safe access for city workers.
