 New Beginnings Youth and Adult Services presents “Restoring Unity in the Community”, a free community day event that includes youth football Skills & Drills hosted by NFL Pro Noah Spence and an expo showcasing local adult services businesses and organizations. 

“Restoring Unity in the Community” will be held on Saturday, June 23, at Morrison “Sunshine” Park, located at the intersection of 12th and Herr Streets. 

Youth attendees ages 5-13 are encouraged to participate in the football skills and drills, which will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Specific time slots per age group are as follows: 

Ages 5-7: 10:00 a.m. to 10:40 p.m. Ages 8-10: 10:40 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages 11-13: 11:20 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The community expo and other activities will be held from noon to 4:00 p.m. 

Due to the recent rise in gun violence and other city-wide trauma, “Restoring Unity in the Community” is intended to bring Harrisburg residents together for a free day of fun and entertainment, while fostering a strong sense of collaboration by connecting the many tenants of the community. 

In keep with New Beginnings’ mission of providing local residents with support and resources, the expo will include social services and other types of organizations ready to assist residents with improving their lives.
