The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is excited to host our 16th Annual Race Against Racism to promote awareness of racism and injustice in our community and raise vital funds to support our racial justice programs.

The route forges a deeper connection between our mission of eliminating racism and the history of our city. It is built along Harrisburg’s 6th and 7th Street corridors and will start and end at Soldier’s Grove.

About the Course:

-The 5 kilometer/3.1-mile race course is accurately measured, but not certified.

-The race is professionally timed; results will be posted at www.ywcahbg.org.

-People of all ages and physical abilities may participate. The course is wheelchair-accessible, but not ideal as much of the course is on uneven pavement.

-For the safety of all participants, no bikes or inline skates can be used during the race

-Water will be provided.

Following the Race there is a Humanity Festival featuring culturally diverse entertainers, food, vendors and fun activities for children of all ages.
