Shakespeare In The Park: Opening Night

Shakespeare In The Park: Opening Night

In the last two years, FSIP brought over 5,000 people to Harrisburg’s Reservoir Park to see the timeless words of William Shakespeare being brought to life in a dynamic and engaging manner by local artists.

We return our presence to Reservoir Park and the Allison Hill neighborhood with our production of William Shakespeare’s Antony & Cleopatra from May 30 – June 14, 2014 at the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts.

We hope that you, your friends and family will all come out and enjoy the Harrisburg Shakespeare Company’s 21st season at the Levitt Pavilion in Reservoir Park! This season HSC is proud to present William Shakespeare’s Antony & Cleopatra.

Passion, war, and betrayal erupt in this rich romantic tragedy. Although the sensual Cleopatra has conquered the heart of Rome’s greatest soldier, Marc Antony must choose between duty and desire. When Antony is recalled by Rome and duty, the trajectory of the play is set in motion: furious jealousy, betrayal, humiliation, reconciliation, and a love that sets the paradigm for all romantic love.

WE ARE ALSO VERY EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT OUR FRIENDS AT THE MANNA CAFÉ, SPICE GRILL CATERERS AND DOGGONE GOOD DOGS WILL BE SELLING FOOD BEFORE AND DURING EACH PERFORMANCE!

Bring a chair, bring a blanket and bring a friend! Enjoy some of Harrisburg’s best food while experiencing Shakespeare under the stars!
