HARRISBURG – The second Healthy Harrisburg brown bag discussion forum will be held 11:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, in the atrium of the MLK Government Center, 10 N. Second St.
Sharon Veet, RN, of Pinnacle Health CARES, will lead a discussion on “Know Your Numbers,” and free health screenings will be offered for all who attend.
“We are grateful to Pinnacle Health for undertaking the Healthy Harrisburg initiative,” said Mayor Eric Papenfuse. “I urge people to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about the resources available to improve our health and well-being.”
Pinnacle Health is partnering with the office of Mayor Eric Papenfuse to help inform citizens of Harrisburg about important health issues. The next forum from noon-1 p.m. July 31 will focus on childhood obesity and is titled, “Eat Smart, Play Smart.” Pinnacle Health also will have information available at a special table in the atrium of City Hall.
