HARRISBURG- The Harrisburg Bureau of Fire will host its Annual Fire Awards Ceremony. The awards ceremony is held every year to pay tribute to firefighters and citizens who have performed heroic acts or have gone above the call of duty. Mayor Papenfuse will also administer the oath of office to new firefighters.

The swearing-in ceremony will be a live presentation, and the awards portion will be a pre-recorded segment.
Awards include recognitions for merit, CPR saves, unit citations, citizen commendations, years of service, retirements, military service, and PA Task Force 1 deployments.
