EVENT MAP & PROGRAM  |  SCHEDULE  |  PLAN YOUR VISIT  |  SCAVENGER HUNT | SPONSORS

The City of Harrisburg presents the M&T Bank Ice in the Burg event! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional Ice & Fire Festival will be modified to feature large and small ice sculptures throughout the City in locations such as City Island, Downtown, Midtown, Shipoke, Italian Lake and Reservoir Park. There will be a drive-thru experience featuring illuminated ice sculptures, a live ice carving, characters, stilt walker, musician and dance group at City Island on Friday, March 5 from 7-9pm. Come back to see 55 ice sculptures revealed in neighborhoods across the City on Saturday, March 6 from 10am-9pm and Sunday, March 7 from 10am-7pm. The sculptures will be illuminated on March 5 from 7-9pm. Attendees can also enjoy a unique outdoor table service dining experience on Saturday, March 6 from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Second Street, drink specials, family fun activities and more.

Extending the event over 3 days and expanding the blueprint to include additional neighborhoods will help spread out the foot traffic so everyone can safely enjoy this socially distanced, masked, outdoor event. View all health safety guidelines here. While we will greatly miss having the ice skating rink, ice slide, performance groups and vendors that typically make up our traditional street festival, we are happy to provide a safe alternative for everyone to enjoy while providing an economic boost to our City businesses during these difficult times. We will look forward to bringing these activities back for the 2022 festival.

Event is sponsored by M&T Bank, Visit Hershey & Harrisburg, Explore HBG, Capital BlueCross, Commonwealth Charter Academy, Broad Street Market, UPMC Pinnacle, Harrisburg Downtown Improvement District and Park Harrisburg.
