INCREASED POLICE PATROLS PLANNED IN HARRISBURG DURING SUNDAY’S GALLERY WALK

artMayor Eric Papenfuse says Harrisburg Police will have increased patrols throughout the city this weekend as thousands of people enjoy the 27th Harrisburg Gallery Walk.

The Gallery Walk will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015 and will involve art galleries, shops and restaurants in the Downtown and Midtown sections of the city.

“This is a wonderful event in our city that will attract people from throughout the region,” said Mayor Eric Papenfuse. “In commemoration of the anniversary, there will be 27 venues featuring art exhibits throughout Downtown and Midtown. It’s a great opportunity to show off our city as the cultural and artistic capital of the region.”

Harrisburg Police will have both foot and bicycle patrols in the area of the Gallery Walk and throughout the city to help ensure a safe weekend for both residents and visitors.
