Mayor Announces Liberal Leave for Non-Essential City Employees – No Street Cleaning Feb. 17


The Department of Public Works has announced there will not be street cleaning on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015 due to the snow. Harrisburg residents are not required to move their cars for street cleaning. No tickets will be issued.

City Public Works officials have been out plowing streets since 10 p.m. Monday night. Full crews are out, but due to extreme cold and blowing snow, streets may be hazardous. People should use extreme caution when driving.

Mayor Eric Papenfuse has declared liberal leave in effect for non-essential employees for Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, due to snow and hazardous road conditions. He is urging drivers to use caution today when traveling during the extreme weather conditions.
