MAYOR PAPENFUSE, CITY COUNCIL CONGRATULATE HARRISBURG HIGH COUGARS AND WISH THEM WELL IN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

Harrisburg, PA – Mayor Eric Papenfuse and Harrisburg City Council members congratulate the Harrisburg High School Cougars for their outstanding win in Saturday’s PIAA 5A semifinals, and are cheering them on to victory in Friday’s game to determine the state championship.

“Our City couldn’t be more proud of the Cougars,” said Mayor Papenfuse. “They have achieved an enormous victory in winning the district championship, and we have every confidence they will be victorious on Friday. Go Cougars!”

The Harrisburg High Cougars, led by Coach Calvin Everett, recently won the district championship, beating West Allegheny 42-10. The Cougars are slated to play Archbishop Wood in the state finals on Friday at Hershey.
