Harrisburg, PA – Mayor Eric Papenfuse will speak at the South Mountain Carriage Company ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2016, at the Carriage House on City Island.
“The South Mountain Carriage Company is a great attraction for City Island,” said Mayor Papenfuse. “They provide a unique experience for tourist and residents throughout the area.”
The South Mountain Carriage Company is owned by David Binner and Cynthia Michaud. The company offers carriage rides for weddings, dinner dates, historical tours, hayrides, and special occasions on City Island and along Harrisburg’s Riverfront. They have several different carriage styles that are pulled by two draft horses that are housed in the carriage house along with one miniature horse.
“We are thoroughly enjoying our location on City Island,” said Cynthia Michaud. “We absolutely love being in a location where people can stop by just to see the horses.”
The South Mountain Carriage Company has been providing rides and participating in events throughout the area since 2014. In May of 2016, they moved into the carriage house and began giving horse-drawn carriage rides in the city this summer.Leave a reply
