MAYOR PAPENFUSE TO SPEAK AT THE 901 LOUNGE RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY

Mayor Eric Papenfuse will preside over the ribbon cutting ceremony for the 901 Lounge and Restaurant, located at Harrisburg’s oldest hotel the historic Lochiel, at 901 Shanois Street. The event will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3. Free food and beverages will be served to the public at the ceremony.

“This hotel is known as the oldest hotel in the city and a part of Harrisburg’s legacy,” said Mayor Papenfuse. “What a great opportunity to celebrate not only this hotel’s reopening, but to reminisce about the many interesting people and events that are connected to its history.”

Retired U.S. Navy veteran Brian Douglas and his wife Grace, purchased the hotel in September of 2016. The lounge will aim to serve the area’s over 30 crowd. The restaurant will serve lunch and dinner throughout the week, as well as brunch on Sundays. Also featured at 901 will be happy hour specials, signature drinks, and live music.
