The City of Harrisburg’s Parks & Recreation Department will hold neighborhood meetings at several playgrounds throughout the day on Saturday, May 21, 2016, to hear from the public on proposed renovations.
The meetings will provide the community an opportunity to share ideas for the parks renovation project and give suggestions to City officials and consultants. Residents will be invited to fill out a survey to provide written comments. Surveys are available on the city’s website atwww.harrisburgpa.gov.
The playground renovations are being funded by two grants of $175,000 each from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. The target date to begin work on the playgrounds is September 2016.
Meetings will be held at the following times and locations on May 21:
• Penn & Say ford 9:00-10:00am
• 4th & Dauphin 10:30-11:30am
• Royal Terrace 12:00-1:00pm
• Norwood & Holly 1:30-2:30pm
• Cloverly Heights 3:00-4:00pm
