New Year’s Eve
On December 31, 2018, the City of Harrisburg will be celebrating the New Year from 9pm – 12am at the MLK City Government Center, located at 10 N. 2nd Street.
On Tuesday, December 31, 2019, the City of Harrisburg will celebrate the New Year with a strawberry drop and fireworks at midnight. The strawberry drop ceremony will begin at 11:45 p.m. outside the Hilton Hotel in Downtown Harrisburg.

$10 Event parking provided by SP+ Municipal Services will be available in the Market Square garage from 5 pm – 5 am. Road closures will include 2nd Street from Chestnut to Walnut. Access to the Market Street garage will be available.
Beginning at 6 pm, 2nd Street from Chestnut Street to Walnut Street will be closed. Second Street from Market to Walnut will be closed. Traffic will be permitted to enter the Market Square Garage or to detour West onto Blackberry Street if exiting the garage. Market Street from Front to Second will be closed.
The City of Harrisburg relies on community partners to produce the NYE Celebration. Sponsors may receive extensive media coverage, booth spaces at the event, promotional listings on billboards and marketing materials and much more.
