PennDOT has announced the City of Harrisburg will receive $1 million in grant funds for improvements to the Riverwalk on Riverfront Park, part of a program to support transportation projects throughout the Commonwealth.
“The City is elated to learn that PennDOT has accepted our grant request to repair 11,000 feet of concrete along Riverfront Park,” said Mayor Papenfuse. “This is a major grant that will make it easier for people to enjoy the park and get around Harrisburg.”
The grant funds for the Riverfront Park improvements are part of $33 million in federal funds to be directed toward alternative transportation projects.
