PUBLIC ASKED TO “HELP NAME HARRISBURG’S FUTURE!” AND SAVE THE DATES FOR THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS

Harrisburg, PA – Today, the Harrisburg Comprehensive Team has launched a survey asking the public to help name the Comprehensive Plan initiative and website.
The “Help Name Harrisburg’s Future!” survey will be open from June 1st until June 5th. The name will be announced on Tuesday, June 9th at the reveal of the Comprehensive Plan website. The public can take the survey online at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/C8TJLJ6
The survey will also be available at the City Government Center. Anyone who would like to take the survey can ask for it at the front desk in the atrium.
On Saturday May 30th from 10:00am to 2:00pm, three Harrisburg Comprehensive Plan Information tables will be set up at the Camp Curtin YMCA, the Broad Street Market, and at the Hamilton Health Center’s “Community Day” event.
During that time, the public can take the survey at these places as well as submit Plan ideas, sign up for a mailing list, and get the dates for the first round of public engagement sessions happening in June.
A total of six public engagement sessions will happen around the city as follows:
- Monday, June 15th in East Harrisburg 4-7pm
- Tuesday, June 16th in Allison Hill 4-7pm
- Wednesday, June 17th in Midtown 5-8pm
- Tuesday, June 23rd in Southside 5-8pm
- Wednesday, June 24th in Allison Hill 4-7pm
- Thursday, June 25th in Uptown 2:30-5:30pm
Specific locations will be announced by the June 9th launch of the Comprehensive Plan website.
