[lsvr_button text=”Commercial Sanitation Credit Application” link=”https://laserfiche.harrisburgpa.gov/Forms/Commercial-Credit-Application” target=”default” style=”default”]

Dear Commercial Refuse Account Holder,

If your business or a business to which you rent space at within the City limits was negatively impacted by the emergency closures and shutdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you may be eligible for a one-time credit on future trash bills.

Eligible applicants must be the following:

  • Licensed by the City
  • A nonresidential business in Harrisburg that pays commercial rates on your sanitation account
  • Able to demonstrate that your business was negatively impacted by Governor Wolf’s Orders, Proclamations or Directives that required certain businesses to close or restricted their operations while urging residents to stay home

Please be aware that your business must not have received a prior credit or reduced rate from the City during the state of emergency, and must have been current on its City commercial sanitation account as of March 16, 2020, the date on which Governor Wolf imposed a statewide public health shutdown of all non-essential businesses.

Relief available to eligible applicants will be in the form of a credit of up to two months on collection and disposable rates paid during the shutdown. The City will apply the credit incrementally to eligible applicants over the final four billing cycles of 2020. You must complete the form on the back of this letter and return it to the City, no later than August 1, 2020 to be eligible for this one-time credit.

Sincerely,

Eric Papenfuse

Mayor
