AAA Central Penn is giving back to the City of Harrisburg with free memberships to city workers for the second straight year.
AAA Central Penn, as part of its AAA Cares program, is gifting approximately 400 Classic Memberships to the City of Harrisburg and the Harrisburg School District to be distributed to police officers, other first responders, and teachers. City and school district officials will work with the Bureau of Police, Bureau of Fire, LifeTeam EMS, and schools to gift the one-year free AAA memberships to these essential members of the community.
“Police officers, other first responders, and teachers play a vital role in our community,” said AAA Central Penn President Jodie Daubert. “To show how much we appreciate their service and dedication to the well-being of the people they serve, we’re proud to offer them free AAA memberships. Just like these community heroes are here for us, we want them to have peace of mind knowing that we are here for them.”
This is the second consecutive year AAA Central Penn has partnered with the City of Harrisburg to provide free memberships to city employees. Any city worker who signed up for a AAA membership last year will have their memberships renewed automatically, and a new card will be mailed directly to them. New members who sign up will have their cards mailed to them.
AAA’s generous donation to the City of Harrisburg, Harrisburg School District, and local first responders is an estimated $32,000 in memberships. Members will be eligible for up to four annual service calls, free towing up to five miles per call, flat tire changes, lockout services, automobile accident protection, free ID theft monitoring, and new this year, bicycle assistance.
