HARRISBURG — Plan accordingly for road closures on and around Second Street in Downtown Harrisburg beginning Friday ahead of the weekend’s Ice & Fire Festival.
Starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 3, Second Street will close from Market Street to Walnut Street to allow crews time to set up for Saturday’s street festival. Vehicles traveling on Second Street will still be able to turn left and right on Market Street at this time.
However, at 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, Market Street will shut down between Second and Front Streets to allow for food truck setup. Vehicles traveling on Second Street will be forced to make a right-handed turn at Market.
At this time, the Second Street closure will extend from Walnut to Pine Street. Roads will reopen as normal at midnight.
During the Second Street road closure, vehicles on Walnut Street, Locust Street, or any other nearby alleyway will not be able to cross through Second. Pine Street traffic will flow in its normal westbound nature.
