Harrisburg City Council to Hold Public Discussions on Draft Comprehensive Plan 
The in-person events will be held at the Public Works Building and Italian Lake 

HARRISBURG – Harrisburg City Council will be holding in-person public discussions on the draft 2020 Comprehensive Plan. This series of meetings is a continuation of the virtual sessions held earlier this year.  

The purpose of the Comprehensive Plan is to set forth the framework necessary for orderly growth and development. It is a policy document used by City leaders, developers, business owners, and citizens to make decisions about future growth, development, policy, and capital improvements. 

WHAT: Public Discussions on Draft Comprehensive Plan

WHEN/WHERE:  Wednesday, June 9th at 6:00 p.m. Public Works Building (1820 Paxton St)

                             Wednesday, June 16th at 6:00 p.m. Italian Lake

The document provides long-range policy direction for land use, transportation, economic development, housing, utilities, public services, and natural and cultural resources. It serves as a guide for elected and public officials by establishing policies and priorities, and providing the framework for evaluating development proposals.
