On Friday, December 31 the City of Harrisburg will host the annual New Year’s Eve Celebration from 10pm-12am. This year’s event has been moved to FNB Field on City Island and will feature a strawberry drop and fireworks at midnight. There will also be free kids activities, live music, beer garden, food, a photo/video booth and more.

PARKING: free parking is available on City Island

HEALTH SAFETY: everyone is encouraged to wear a mask, maintain social distancing and bring hand sanitizer to use when soap and water are not available. There will also be a live stream of the strawberry drop and fireworks just before midnight on the City of Harrisburg’s Facebook page for those that prefer to celebrate from home.

Event Activities

FOOD TRUCKS AND BEER GARDEN

  • Mad Dash and Brickers French Fries will be serving up a variety of grilled cheese sandwiches, french fries and chicken strips.
  • Zeroday Brewing will offer a beer garden inside the stadium

LIVE MUSIC

  • Rock band Broken Fayth will perform at the event. Local youth rapper Lil’ Tim will be their opener.

GIVEAWAYS

  • The first 750 attendees will receive either a pair of NYE glasses or a “Happy New Year” crown.

PHOTO/VIDEO BOOTH

  • Strike a pose and let the camera spin around you to capture dynamic video boomerangs and gifs. Free for everyone to try throughout the event.

KIDS ACTIVITIES

  • FREE face painting, balloon animals and a NYE party hat craft will be offered inside a heated pavilion beside the stadium. There will also be character visits from Superman, Cinderella, Batman and Moana from 10:30-11:30pm.

STRAWBERRY DROP & FIREWORKS

  • The strawberry drop will take place directly before midnight and fireworks will go off at the stroke of midnight to bring in the New Year.

Dining Specials and Events

Kick off the New Year by supporting local City businesses! Several businesses will be offering dining and takeout specials and other activities. Visit ExploreHBG.com/NYE for information on everything available (the site will be updated as details are received so check back frequently).

If you own a City business and are planning a NYE event or dining special, please complete the form below by December 17 if you would like it to be included in our promotions. 

Community Photo Submissions

Leading up to the strawberry drop and fireworks, a video featuring community photos and messages will be displayed on the big screen for attendees to enjoy. Photo submissions will be accepted from community members, non-profit organizations and City businesses at no charge. All other businesses can submit a photo or 15 second video submission for a $50 fee. Complete the form below by December 13 to be included. All images must be appropriate and free of political messages or imagery. Photos and messages can be denied by City staff if they do not meet this criteria.

Submit your application by November 29 to be considered as a food vendor. There are options for food trucks and tented vendors. Space is limited.
