Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the traditional City of Harrisburg New Year’s Eve Celebration will be modified to a virtual celebration. Please see below for details on the virtual activities and explorehbg.com/NYE for a list of City NYE dining and takeout specials and more.
A virtual countdown to midnight will feature iconic City of Harrisburg locations and organizations followed by a fireworks compilation from previous years. There will also be photos, videos and messages from members of the community and businesses. The video will be available to watch on Channel 20 and the City of Harrisburg Facebook.
*video starts at 11:57pm on December 31

There were several unclaimed NYE kits that are now available for pick-up. Families can pick up a free NYE Activities Kit for Kids featuring a handcrafted balloon drop, DIY party hat template, cookies for a milk & cookies toast and more on December 31 from 8:30am-3:30pm inside the City Government Center at 10 N 2nd St, Harrisburg, PA 17101.
