Holiday Parade

On Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Noon the City of Harrisburg will proudly present the annual Holiday Parade in Downtown Harrisburg. Featuring musical acts, floats, parade balloons, food vendors and much more, this free event draws over 10,000 attendees each year.

Overview

On Saturday, November 23rd at Noon, the City of Harrisburg proudly presents the annual Holiday Parade in Downtown Harrisburg.

This free parade features floats, giant parade balloons, marching bands, dance and step team performances and more. Following the parade, Strawberry Square hosts the awards ceremony at 3pm. Meet Santa and enjoy complimentary cookies and hot chocolate, while supplies last. Join us as we kick off the holiday season!

Event Rules

Participate In The Parade

  • Businesses, non-profits, marching bands, dance and step teams, military units, and other specialty units are invited to participate in the parade. All participants are strongly encouraged to exemplify the winter/holiday theme in their entry for the enjoyment of the crowd.

Vendors

  • Food Vendors – Submit your application by October 4th. There will be up to 5 food trucks accepted to the event and they will be stationed at the start of the parade route along Market Street. Roving carts and tented food vendors are not permitted.

  • Product Vendors – Submit your application by November 1. Only roving cart product vendors will be permitted at this event.

Parking

4 hours of free street parking is available using the “LUVHBG” code in the ParkMobile App. The code is only available for utilizing the ParkMobile app for street parking. $10 special event parking is available at the Market Square parking garage.

The City of Harrisburg relies on community partners to produce the Holiday parade. Sponsors may receive extensive media coverage, booth spaces at the event, promotional listings on billboards and marketing materials, guest speaker opportunities and much more.
