About Us
The Office of Equity and Affirmative Action provides internal and external leadership, coordination and information for the city of Harrisburg. They strive to engage the community in education, intervention, compliance, training, assessment, and support services. The OEAA provides help to City employees and citizens to promote and sustain an environment of diversity, equity, respect and inclusiveness for all members of the City of Harrisburg.
The Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Officer serves as the point of contact and staff liaison to the Harrisburg Human Relations Commission. They work with Harrisburg communities to develop and sustain a diverse learning, living, working, and play environment. Their goal is to create communities that value individual communal, organizational, and systematic commonality and difference.
