HARRISBURG – 3-week long road construction projects are underway in the City of Harrisburg process (weather depending). The projects are part of the City’s Vision Zero street safety initiative. 

Beginning on April 4th, the City will be working on 2nd Street, between Forester, Hamilton, Clinton, Woodbine, Maclay, Radnor, Schuykill and Division Streets, to prepare for the 2-way Street. The initial focus of the project will be milling. Please see the schedule for the work site next week.

No Parking Schedule on 2nd St for Milling Process starting at 6 am to 6 pm.

Monday 04/04 Right Side Forster St to Hamilton St

Tuesday 04/05 Left Side Forester St to Hamilton St

Wednesday 04/06 Left Side Clinton St to Woodbine St

Thursday 04/07 Right Side Clinton St to Woodbine St

Friday 04/08 Right Side Maclay St to Radnor St

Monday 04/11 Left Side Maclay St to Radnor St

Tuesday 04/12 Left Side Schuylkill St to Division St

Wednesday 04/13 Right Side Schuylkill St to Division St

Keep in mind the following:

*No tickets on side or curbside zone even for Street sweeping 

*Vehicles must be removed from the Street; Police will ticket and remove vehicles from 6 am to 6 pm parked within the construction zone.

*The road will be one way

*No parking signs will be placed.

Expect 2nd Street to remain open and functioning as a one-way street during the 2022 construction season. There may be occasional lane closures to accommodate some of the construction tasks.
