Market nearing opening of new structure across from the Stone Building

HARRISBURG — As the City of Harrisburg nears completion of the new structure across from the Stone Building, the Broad Street Market Alliance (“Market”) is announcing that limited space is still available in the tent set to open this spring. The Market says that 13 of the 16 vendor spaces in the structure will be occupied by former Brick Building vendors displaced by last July’s fire, meaning there are three opportunities available for those interested in becoming a part of the Market community.

The three units available in the new structure measure 12.5’ x 4.5’ (56.25 ft2), 12.5’ x 12.5’ (156.25 ft2), and 12.5’ x 6’ (75 ft2), respectively. Applications to become a new vendor are available online at https://tinyurl.com/yzzd8sv5.

New vendor applications will be subject to approval by the Market’s Vendor Review Committee. The Market encourages folks interested in this opportunity to apply as soon as possible and no later than Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

The Broad Street Market, founded in 1860, is the oldest continuously-operated market house in the United States. It serves as the long-time anchor of retail activity in Harrisburg’s Midtown business corridor, with dozens of vendors providing locally-grown and organic produce, meats, baked goods, freshly-prepared meals, and more. Despite the fire that burned down the Brick Building last year, the Stone Building remains open for business Thursdays and Fridays from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
