On or about May 13, 2024, Acer Paving will be performing permanent restorations in the Shipoke neighborhood to finish the gas service upgrades. Acer has been hired by UGI Utilities to complete this project.
This work will consist of milling lanes of traffic and overlaying with permanent asphalt. This process should take two to three days to complete depending on weather.
Residents are asked to plan ahead for alternate parking during completion. Work will be performed between 7am and 5pm to have the project completed in a short timeframe so as not to disrupt residents’ daily routines.
The City of Harrisburg has coordinated with the Quality Inn at Front and Paxton Streets for additional parking. Residents can stop in to the Quality Inn and get a parking pass for the timeframe of the work. Limited parking will also be available overnight only courtesy Premier Eyecare on Tuscarora Street.
This minor inconvenience is necessary to achieve a permanent solution and protect the infrastructure of your streets.
