COMMUNITY GLASS MURAL PROJECT
At Artsfest 2022, event attendees had the opportunity to be part of a community glass mural project during the event. Over 1,000 attendees stopped by the tile making tent with local glass artist, Linda Billet to make their own unique design on glass tiles. These tiles were then used to create a larger mosaic that is now displayed at Harrisburg High School-John Harris Campus.
The circles shown in the beautiful mural are to represent the diversity of Harrisburg all being interconnected. It is to show the unity of Harrisburg.
This opportunity was made possible through the Capital Area Intermediate Unit Arts in Education and Summer Camps programs, Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and City of Harrisburg Special Events Department.
