HARRISBURG — The William Penn Social Association is committed to the revitalization efforts of the Broad Street Market following the unfortunate fire incident in July 2023. In a gesture of solidarity, the association will be presenting a donation at the Broad Street Market on Thursday, January 24th, at 11:30 am.
This charitable initiative is part of the William Penn Social Association’s ongoing efforts to contribute to the
well-being and prosperity of our community. The Broad Street Market, a cornerstone of our local area, plays a vital
role in bringing together residents and supporting local businesses.
The check presentation will take place at the Broad Street Market, 1233 N. 3rd St Harrisburg, PA 17102. Brittany
Brock, Treasurer of the William Penn Social Association will present the donation to representatives of the Broad
Street Market.
“The William Penn Social Association is a private club located in Midtown Harrisburg. We were heartbroken to learn
the news that our neighbor, the Broad Street Market, had suffered such a loss. The board of trustees for the club are
thrilled to be able to use a portion of our small games of chance proceeds to support the market with a donation of
$30,000. It is a staple in our city and we hope that the donation will be meaningful to the market, the vendors, and
the greater Harrisburg community,” said Brittany Brock.
The Broad Street Market sincerely appreciates the generous donation from the William Penn Social Association,
which will play a crucial role in supporting our ongoing operational costs. This contribution enables us to strategically
